Job Title: Telecommunications Engineer for the IT Infrastructure Services Dept.

Location: Bay Area - Fairfield, CA

Duration: 6 - 12 months

Pay rate: $65.00/hr.

Required Skill set:

Must be aware of industry safety practices and cost effective in design and installation. Have people and teamwork skills. Technical background in telecommunications connectivity on SONET/Fiber transmission, LAN WAN and phone equipment for high-rise building complex, service center, data center, substation and power producer plant environment. Knowledge of Codes and Standards for telecommunications in commercial, industrial, and utility applications. Know MS Office Suite applications e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook. Strong in Visio. Must be able to work in teams and possess good people skills.

Preferred Skillet: Power industrial knowledge and know to read substation drawings, PE, BSEE.

Job Desc.

Ideal candidate will proactively be involved in various projects from conceptual design, cost estimate, material procurement, job package preparation to field support during project implementation, documentation and M&O activities. Be able to coordinate technical details on cross disciplinary project teams, including ISTS internal and external project management, engineering, construction, M&O from utility clients, A/E consultants and outside agencies. This position requires 35% field travel. Must be able to work with little supervision, be detail-oriented.

Start Date ASAP on 6mo. to year contract
