Job Title: Project Engineer

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

• B.S. (4-year) degree in civil, architectural, or mechanical engineering; PE is a major plus.
• 6-8 years of professional experience in planning, design and field oversight of heavy construction and infrastructure projects
• Fluency and competence in structural engineering design standards, domestic and international building codes, and safe construction practices
• US government experience and Design/Build experience are a plus
• Minimum computer proficiency: MS Office, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, engineering design software, and AutoCAD
• Must have strong English oral and written communication skills
• Must be flexible and creative
• Must be self-driven and work well independently or with others under tight deadlines
• Ability and willingness to travel within the US , international experience preferred

 PRIMARY REPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist Project Managers with technical evaluation of project scopes, and assist the development of site assessments, cost analyses and technical strategies
• Under general supervision, Lead design efforts and participate in the development of conceptual designs and engineering designs and specifications
• Develop technical reports such as Work Plans, QC Plans, and Closure Reports to comply with OUR CLIENT standards and contractual protocols
• Ensure compliance with applicable permitting and notification requirements
• Review subcontractor technical submittals related to ongoing designs
• Review and authorize field design changes to client-approved designs, and review and authorize as-built records.
